Melissa Dilworth is an LPC-AT-S, ATR-BC, from San Antonio, Texas. She has been an Art Therapist for over 20 years working in a full array of settings with children, teens, adults, and families. Throughout her long career as an art therapist, she has been a constant advocate for the art therapy profession and a dedicated, compassionate helper for individuals and their families.
Whether it be to overcome struggles related to everyday stressors or symptoms of serious mental illness, Melissa works collaboratively with her clients to develop a personalized approach to treatment. She provides each client with a genuinely caring and trusting therapeutic relationship, such that an individual can find their way through the healing journey.
Melissa is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, a Certified Clinical Sandtray Therapist Trainer, and Sandplay Practitioner by Certified by Sandplay Therapists of America.
Melissa’s graduate studies at The College of New Rochelle were focused primarily on psychodynamic theory, with other theories studied in depth throughout the program.
